FAQs
What Type of Media Do You Require?
*We can transcribe from most types of digital media including .mp3 files, digital recorders, DVDs, and CDs. Digital media is preferred, but we can also transcribe from cassettes and micro cassettes for an additional $5 per audio hour.
How Do You Determine What Rate Type I Will Be Charged?
*All audio will be reviewed prior to start of your project. If it is determined to fall under a Rate Type 2 or 3, we will notify you before beginning your project.
How Are The Transcripts Formatted? I Need Mine In A Particular Style.
*During the initial consultation the client will receive a Style Requirement Sheet to complete and return. Our transcriptionists will format your transcripts per your instructions on this Style Sheet. Once the Style Sheet has been approved prior to the completion of the project, there will be an additional fee for style revisions.
What If I Find An Error In My Transcript?
*All transcripts are proofread prior to returning them to you to assure correct spelling. Our goal is to provide you with high-quality, professional transcripts. If you are not happy with your transcript, please let us know immediately and we will correct any errors free of charge.
What is a Verbatim Transcript VS. a Non-Verbatim Transcript?
Verbatim transcripts are just that...verbatim. If the speaker repeats himself, says "uh, uhm, gonna, wanna" etc, or uses profanity then that's what your transcript will include. Non-Verbatim Transcripts have had typical bad speaking habits cleaned up. For example: no "uhs," "uhms," etc. "Gonna" would be transcribed as "going to." Special requests or requirements can be listed on the style sheet.
When is Payment Due?
*Payment is due within five days of completed transcript.
*If there is a service you need but don’t see it here, please contact us to see if we can make it happen!
